Hubby and I have been enjoying Air Force Girls visit home. Well what little we have been able to see her. She has been doing RAP (recruiter assistance program) so has had to go into the office almost every day except the weekend. And most evenings she has been out and about with her friends. I really don’t blame her; I would be doing that too. It is hard to believe in a couple of days she will be on her way to her first station. I am not really ready for her to drive across the country by herself. I am pretty sure she can’t be old enough. I know I am not old enough so how can she be?
The next few weeks are going to be so busy! I have a ton of work to do in the managerial accounting class I am taking. I have a 3 page case study due on Sunday and a test. I have to have both of them done by Friday night. We are going to see Gpa and B, J and A this weekend. Air Force Girl will be leaving from Gpa’s house. Then the following week I have school stuff and Army Girl and I have to go through things to get ready for the garage sale that BFF and I are having as a fund raiser for the Susan G. Komen 3-day for the cure. Plus I have to keep training. I have not walked in forever. Ok since Saturday when hubby and I did 17 miles. It keeps raining and I have some much work to do. We are bartending on Friday from 11-4, Saturday from 7:30 – close, and Sunday from 3:30 – 8. We get $0.05 a can for every can of beer we sell so please come and drink a lot. But please do it responsibly with a DD.
Ok that paragraph kinda veered off into other tangents didn’t it? Anyway, we are busy, busy, busy and things just keep moving faster and faster. I wish my job search was going as well. I applied at two places today and contacted a couple of recruiters, plus there are a few more I would like to get out yet this week. Hopefully someone will bite soon.
Did I mention monsoon season has started here? We have gotten more rain. I don’t think we will be in a drought for much longer. It is pretty wet when you have made up a deficit of 9 inches in one season. I am pretty sure that qualifies for a monsoon season.
